My Favorite Things. As Answered by Ethan.

As Ethan is almost three, I wanted to ask him some questions to capture this moment in time.  Disclaimer:  This questionnaire took place during lunch and therefore many of his answers are tortellini based.  =P

Q.  What is your favorite color?
A.  Green!

Q.  What is your favorite toy?
A.  My look like this tractor.  (For those not fluent in Ethanese, this was his first Lego tractor.  The kit could make three different models and when we asked which tractor he wanted to make he would point to his favorite version and say 'I want it to 'look like this tractor'.  Which is how it is always referred to now.)

Q.  Where do you live?
A.  California.  (pause)  No!  We live at home.  An orange California house.

Q.  Who is your best friend?
A.  Mommy.  And tortellini.  And Ya Ya.  And Daddy.  And tortellini in a bowl.   With mushroom soup. (The kid obviously thinks with his stomach.)

Q.  What is your favorite book?
A.  The panda book!  (This being 'Panda bear, Panda bear, what do you see? by Eric Carle.  Which has been his favorite.  Since yesterday.  When we borrowed it from the library).

Q.  What do you want to be when you grow up?
A.  A small seed.  That grows up to be a big big tree.  With lots of apples.  (Already he can speak metaphorically!)

Q.  Of all the places that we have visited, what has been your favorite?
A.  Nai Nai!  We went to see Nai Nai in Taiwan.

Q.  What is your favorite thing to do when we go outside?
A.  When we pick lemons in the backyard and making lemon water.  And then we will eat tortellini.

Q.  And your favorite thing to do with Mommy and Daddy?
A.  Riding Daddy's blue car.  (We have a big car fanatic on our hands. He can entertain himself in there for hours at a time)

Q.  What do you want for your birthday?
A.  A red birthday tractor!  (Lego advertisements are very cunning - they place different kits on the instruction manual!).

Q.  If you were an animal what animal do you want to be?
A.  No animals.  Just a red fire engine.  Neeaaarh!  (The last bit being the fire engine sound).

And with that he raced off to play.  Interview finished.
